Rolled Kamut with Chia Seeds, Cinnamon, Flax Seeds & Raisins.
Kamut is an ancient grain with excellent nutritional value. It is a good source of dietary fiber, magnesium and phosphorus. It is rich in B vitamins, and is high in manganese.
Kamut has a buttery, nutty flavor. In this combination pack, its flavor is complimented by those of the cinnamon, chia seeds, flax seeds, and raisins that are part of the product.
Kamut is of the wheat family, but is relatively easy to digest, therefore it is tolerated by people with some sensitively to modern varieties of wheat. It however does contain gluten, and should be avoided by individuals with acute sensitivity to gluten.
To cook, add 1 cup of rolled kamut to 2 cups of boiling water. Cover, and simmer on reduced heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed. Add 2 tablespoons chia seeds, 2 tablespoons flax seeds, 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/4 raisins toward the end of cooking time. More water may be used for a lighter consistency.
