Rolled Spelt with Chia Seeds, Cinnamon, Flax Seeds & Raisins

Spelt is an ancient grain with excellent nutritional value. It is high in manganese, and is a good source of dietary fiber, magnesium and phosphorus.
Spelt has a sweet, nutty flavor. Its flavor is further complimented in this combination pack, by those of the cinnamon, chia seeds, flax seeds, and raisins that are part of the product. Our combination pack is made with organic ingredients.
It is easy to digest, and people with mild allergies to wheat may be able to enjoy rolled spelt. However, it is not gluten free.
To cook, add 1 cup of rolled spelt to 2 cups of boiling water. Cover, and simmer on reduced heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed. Add 2 tablespoons chia seeds, 2 tablespoons flax seeds, 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/4 raisins toward the end of cooking time. More water may be used for a lighter consistency.
